evolusi kostum BATMAN

Batman...
dari generasi ke generasi kostum batman selalu berubah
jadi... ayo kita liat gan!

Langsung dimulai gan!

Adam West Batman

Let’s start with the first on screen appearance in the 1960’s television show Batman and Robin. Adam West sported the infamous gray and black suit. I mean, there were even eyebrows painted on the mask. The bright yellow utility belt was a useful asset having the ability to store anything from darts to live fish. A classic look, I must say. I wonder if he and Superman ever argued over who looked better in this “underwear-over-tights” look… It’s cheesy, but who doesn’t love this costume? It’s just fits perfectly with all the cheesy, cheesy phrases this rendition of Batman was famous for. All I can say is, “Holy Spandex, Batman! It’s A Unitard!”
Michael Keaton Batman

Next up is Batman 2.0. Tim Burton brings Batman to life once again with the help of Michael Keaton. This costume was modeled after the generic Batman look: A black suit that formed to every muscle of the wearer, classic Batman emblem, and wing-like cape. Pretty good i guess. It was simple and worked for the film, but I’m not so sure it worked for Keaton. He could barely move and looked like someone trying to escape from a hospital in a body cast. And as is true with all Bat costumes up until The Dark Knight, the neck is huge!! this always bothered me…I’m not sure why though…it’s just funny to me.
Val Kilmer Batman

Oh Val Kilmer…I’d love to see you fit in that suit now…The next step in the evolution of the Batsuit was the start of the over stylization of the suit in my opinion. The tight latex was “sexier” I suppose, which is what I think they were going for. And who can forget the great scene where the suit is shown from all angles? When Val Kilmer’s butt flashes across the screen….it still gets me…every time…(*sniff*i’m holding back tears, i promise) (oh…please take note of the sarcasm by the way… ) With all the quote “muscle definition” on the suit, I honestly think they gave Batman and Robin a little too much credit.
George Clooney Batman

The moment you’ve all been waiting for I’m sure…The Adventures of George Clooney and the Infamous Bat Nipple! But the mysterious nipple shows up on Robin as well…but as you’ll notice, it is much smaller…got keep those sidekicks in there place…can’t go having bigger nipples than their boss. This suit went through two stages in the film Batman and Robin. The first removed the yellow of the Batman emblem, and looked a lot like body armor…body armor that conveniently forms to your nipples as well…The second suit in this film comes when Batman, Robin, and the newly inducted Batgirl join forces and don coordinating suits out of nowhere. I’d love to hear that conversation, “Hey guys! Let’s match!” “Ok Batman!” “Cool!” Really? I don’t know it’s overall over the top. And the only explanation I can think of for the Bat Nipple is that, well, he was cold, he was fighting Mr. Freeze, right? Mystery solved.
I love how realistic they make it. He’s a rich guy who can get his hands on some nifty materials. And they also explain how it works. It’s made up of body armor supposedly used for spelunking. Yeah right, Bruce. You can’t fool us. I love that they show the trial and error of his mask. Good call! Overall, I think this is the most successful Bat costume.
So this new Batsuit sounds pretty nice and looks pretty cool as well. My favorite part, (and Bale’s too I think) the moveable neck. No more bull-neck Batman. The old suits required Batman to move like an action figure as opposed to an action hero. Let’s hope that this new more realistic generation of Batman doesn’t go down the same destructive suit path as it’s predecessors.
